Hadco History
Since 1948, Hadco Lighting has been manufacturing and selling the latest in architectural, landscape, and street and area exterior lighting. The company's founder worked with Walt Disney himself to light Disneyland, and today Hadco continues the tradition with its work on Epcot and other theme parks.
High-end private estates, such as the Biltmore House, also feature Hadco fixtures, as do many well-known courtyard hotels, college campuses, and municipal utility systems.
With an extensive product catalog and comprehensive list of services, including an in-house engineering department, Web site with spec sheets and applications, and installation support, Hadco has become the leading landscape lighting manufacturer in North America.
Hadco Training
Hadco lighting wants its installers and landscaping company clients to know how to use and install their products. So, they offer free training classes to promote their products.
Nationwide training classes give contractors a first-hand look at how new products can be used. The classes are held regularly in Hadco's Littlestown, Pennsylvania headquarters and Texas facilities, and training seminars in the field take place regularly.
For example, they’re currently offering a low-voltage landscape lighting class at their San Marcos facility. $175 tuition includes hotel, class time, supplies, meals and ground transportation to and from the Austin airport.
The class is two days of intense tutorials on LED and low-voltage lighting.
The company also offers online tutorials and how-to guides for both landscaping company contractors and the home-based installer.
Hadco Lighting Customer Service
When it comes to lead time and deliveries, Hadco comes through. They’re known for their ability to ship a product fast and get it out to landscapers and distributors fast.
That said, the company tends to let their direct customer service sit in the lands of the landscape companies and distributors. They don’t offer a lot of support in terms of direct customer interaction. Individual customers can write to Hadco or call them, but they don’t focus on one-to-one customer service.
Instead, customers can log on to the Hadco Lighting website and search for distributors or representatives close to their home.
Hadco Prices
Most landscapers will find they pay a premium for Hadco Lighting products because so many of the systems are either pre-built or custom-built for specific purposes. If you’re looking for heavy discounts, Hadco isn’t the place to look.
